Life
A GPU particle life simulation that also makes its own sound.
An endless particle-life universe computed on the GPU. Attraction matrices breed creatures, mutation waves reshape them, and the viewport plays them as music.
ParticlesWebGPUTech demoAbout Life
Life is a particle life simulation that runs on the GPU. Thousands of particles of a few different types attract or repel each other according to a matrix of rules, and structures that look like cells, worms and swarms come out of those rules on their own.
The rules do not stay fixed. Mutation waves change the matrix over time and the creatures change with it. What is on screen is also turned into sound, so the simulation has its own soundtrack.
Attraction Matrices
A grid of attraction and repulsion rules between particle types. The creatures come from nothing else.
Mutation Waves
The rules change over time, so the simulation never settles into one state.
It Makes Sound
What is on screen is turned into audio, so you hear the simulation as well as see it.
